ID 553 - Module 7: Evaluation: Determining the Effect of the Intervention

Assignment 7, Part 3: Final Reflection on the Plan

Assignment50 points

Revise your instructional plan in response to peer review and write a reflection on the design.

Part A: Revised plan excerpt (20 points)

Submit the sections of your Part 1 plan that changed as a result of peer review and your own evaluation planning, with changes tracked or highlighted. Include a one-page change log: what changed, which review or insight prompted it, and what you chose not to change and why.

Part B: Reflection (30 points)

Write 800 to 1,200 words addressing:

  1. The model in practice. You chose a model or hybrid in Module 1. How well did it describe the process you actually followed? Where did you deviate, and was the deviation an improvement or a shortcut?
  2. Analysis to design. Trace one line from a learner analysis finding through a task analysis element, an objective, an assessment, and a strategy decision. Did the chain hold, or did something break along the way?
  3. What the prototype and peer review taught you that the design document did not.
  4. What you would do with more time, and what you would do with less. Which components are essential and which are refinements?
  5. Your practice going forward. One habit from this course you will keep and one you doubt.
